Just Some Fun

We've been able to do some pretty fun things lately.
On Cinco De Mayo I was able to run in my first official 5K. I was excited and nervous about it. I had what I thought was a sinus infection but I think it was a full blown cold so I wasn't even sure if I would be able to do it, but I did and I'm so happy I did.
Here I am close to the finish line. I had the best cheering crowd waiting for me.

Then later that same day we hopped on a last minute flight to go see Gma and Gpa Owens!  This is us at the airport.  We kept it a secret from Hayden until we were about to get on the plane.  She was soooo excited :)

Being silly on the plane.
We made it!

We had so much fun.Thank you, Mom and Dad, for playing with my kids and letting me veg.

We got home just in time to attend Hayden's preschool graduation.  It was really cute to see all the kids together and sing the songs they have been working on all year.  Hayden has loved her class and has learned so much.  It's been great.

We also celebrated Mother's Day that week.  I am so grateful for the wonderful mothers I am surrounded by.  Especially my own mom.  She is probably my best friend and is such a huge support to me and my family.  I'm also so grateful to be a mom to these sweet, beautiful little girls.  They are amazing and make me so happy:)

My friend Robyn sent me this picture of Hayden when she took her to her in laws one day to play.  I love this picture.  It's perfect.

As a gift for Mother's Day, Carl made me some garden boxes.  I'm so excited!

It was supposed to be a surprise, but I cheated and looked out the window at what he was doing, and I thought he looked so dang cute building them, that I had to sneak a picture.
I love it!

They turned out so nice!  Let's hope our veggies actually grow!:)

And here's another cute video:

Hayden and Bryn

Things have been so fun around here. Hayden is being a great big sister and Bryn is growing bigger and bigger every day. Life is good!

Hayden's Cheer Clinic

Hayden did a cheer clinic a few weeks back and it was so fun! She loved it and did very well, if I do say so myself. We might just have a little cheerleader in the making, afterall!

Here's the Plan

As of today I am 32 wks and 5 days. We are so excited for the next bundle of joy that will be joining our family in December. We are painting and getting things set up and ready and it's so fun. Hayden is just as excited for baby sis, so that makes me feel a little better about how she will react once baby is here, even though I'm sure we will have some issues. Doesn't everyone when a new sibling enters the scene? I guess we'll find out.

So, at my 20 wk ultrasound we got to see baby and everything is great with her, however we discovered that I have Placenta Previa, which means the placenta covers the opening of the cervix. In most cases, it usually corrects itself as the uterus gets bigger, so the doc wanted to check me again at 30 wks to see my progression. Unfortunately, it did not move enough to be able to have a safe, normal delivery. But fortunately it isn't completely covering the cervix, so it's just considered a low lying placenta. However, since it didn't move enough, I am scheduled for a c-section. Not the way I would want it, but it definitely has lots of pros, right?
So as of now, baby girl has a birth date planned for December 21. I have a due date of December 30, but they schedule the c-section a little earlier to avoid the chance of me going into labor naturally, which could be a little dangerous. It's nice knowing exactly when we are scheduled because now we can plan things, like mom and dad coming, for example. Since it's the 21st, I should be coming home from the hospital on Christmas Eve! Hooray! I can spend Christmas in my home with my family and new baby. I always joked that I didn't care when baby came as long as I could be home on Christmas Eve. haha So this works out nicely.
We truly are blessed in so many ways. I'm so excited to meet this little girl!

This is her at 30 wks 5 days

Now, only 6 weeks to go!

Halloweenie

It was Halloween. If you didn't know that than I am sorry. :) We had a great time around these parts.
One of the best things is visiting the pumpkin patch. Hayden and I went a few times because she LOOOOVES rolling around in the corn. And the animals. And the maze. Anyway, she loves it so we went a bunch.

The hayride was fun too!
One of my favorite things this year was taking Hayden to try on scary Halloween masks. It was soooo funny to me and she loved it. Good times.

Hahahahaha

Carl's work had their annual Halloween party. It's always fun!

This tank had a real life tarantula in it. If you wanted candy you had to stick your hand in and get it. And Hayden did it! She's so brave.

She was in a costume contest. She may not have won, but she sure was cute :)

Our ward had a party too! It's Red Riding Hood, Evil Carl and Cinderella. Hayden's face is pretty funny in this.

Our pumpkins! We grew these ourselves. So fun! Next year I'll have to remember to plant them a little earlier so they can be orange when we carve them. Although the green/orange mixture was pretty cool.

Scarrrryyyyyy!!

Carl got to take Hayden Trick or treating this year while I stayed home to pass out candy. They had a great time and Hayden scored lots of loot.

She sure is enjoying that pixie stick.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!
